Vague timeline for Ola S1 electric scooter:

Buyers are confused about the timelines updated from the company regarding the delivery and production start date of the base model S1 electric scooter. The company’s abrupt announcement regarding the halt in production of a particular variant has left buyers in a state of confusion. Earlier in August 2021, Ola announced the delay in delivery due to a global semiconductor shortage.

The recent halt in the production till an unspecified timeline has left Ola S1 buyers with no other option than to upgrade it to S1 pro after an additional payment of Rs 30,000 or to cancel the booking, once the booking window opens.

Buyers are not very happy with the biassed approach towards a particular variant of electric scooter. As of now not a single base model S1 has been delivered to customers or is available for test rides.
