With Navigation, companion app, cruise control, and Bluetooth, Ola’s new MoveOS 2.0 update is likely to roll out by end of April. Ola’s CEO, Bhavish Agarwal indicated a surge in the price of the S1 pro electric scooter after the closure of the third booking. Here is a detailed Ola S1 pro review in 2022.
OLA launched its first electric scooter, which promises the best in the industry. On August 15, 2021, the company unveiled its Ola S1 electric scooter in two variants. Online purchase was open from September 15. The new electric scooter, the S1 has been launched in the Indian market, with S1 Pro being the higher model.
As the company’s website faced technical difficulties, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO, Ola, stated “We had committed to start purchases today (sic) for our Ola S1 scooter. But unfortunately, we have had many technical difficulties in making our website for purchases live.”
In the compound test ride for the Ola S1 pro review, we have a brief experience of the most popular electric scooter in India, but this time it was quite different. One of the Users of the Ola electric scooter provided it to us for a couple of days for Ola S1 pro to review in real-world traffic.
OLA S1 Pro Review 2022
No doubt Ola electric scooter is one of the most powerful electric scooters till now with 8.5 kW motors, but the sprint from 0-30 kmph was not quite impressive. We noticed that the normal mode didn’t provide that much thrill and was quite slow, so eventually, we shifted to Hyper and sports mode to find a way through the traffic of Bangalore.
Riding up the hill was a quite tricky experience as the Automatic mode shifts don’t go quite well with the heating issues in the electric scooter. Heating issues need to be resolved asap as the on-road halt for the motor to cool down can be quite hectic for users.
Unlocking the scooter can be frustrating at times with the extra steps like the PIN and brake button, though on the brighter side it provides an extra layer of security to the Ola S1 pro electric scooter.
The riding experience was quite great with fewer vibrations and minimal sounds. The placement of switches can be improved, as it is likely to create inconvenience for people with shorter hands to enjoy all the features. Talking about features, Ola is likely to introduce all the feature upgrades like Navigation, companion app, cruise control, and Bluetooth by the end of April.
Apart from the sudden range dropout, Ola electric scooter offered a decent range of 127 km per full charge, which is enough for a daily urban commute. Upon our Ola S1 pro review, we found that the suspension in the Ola S1 pro electric scooter makes any ride comfortable for the pillion in speed bumps. Even the color options are varied. The Ola electric scooter is offered with a smart vehicle control unit (VCU), an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and high-speed connectivity through 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Other key electronics consist of proximity lock/unlock, remote boot lock/unlock, onboard navigation, geo-fencing, mobile phone call & message alerts, and an anti-theft alarm system.
OLA S1 Pro New Features 2022
Ola electric CEO, Bhavish Agarwal has finally announced the introduction of new features in the Ola S1 pro. The MoveOS 2.0 is likely to be introduced by the end of April for some outstanding added features like Navigation, companion app, cruise control, and Bluetooth
The OLA Electric S1 retains the traditional scooter design and looks like a fancy maxi-scooter. The lines are soft, clean and it looks rather good in the flesh.
The scooter is zippy with very strong torque, being an electric vehicle, powered by an 8500 W Mid-drive IPM Motor. The console is new tech with information on the kilometers left to ride the scooter. While the S1 variant claims to cover 121 km, the more-expensive S1 Pro promises of going around 180 km.

Design
The S1 Pro has a hint of the futuristic to the styling — the projector-like pods in the headlamps and the large screen making it very apparent. The rear section is substantial — it has a wide seat and consequently a wide backside. The headstock is pretty large considering it has to accommodate the big 7-inch touch screen and almost feels like a small tray-table is in front of you.
Ola electric comes with big boot space to fit almost 2 helmets. Netizens are seen posting tweets by placing all sorts of items in the back of the electric scooter.
The S1 Pro has a unique feature of built-in speakers that claim to be able to play music or support phone calls. The scooter has a multi-microphone array and AI speech recognition algorithm that enables voice control. These features are only available in the S1 Pro.
