MG Motors makes an agreement with the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) to teach and encourage skill development in the EV sector.

According to the agreement signed between MG Motors and ACMA, ACMA resolves to conduct a study on the ZS EV to promote skill development thereby supporting the EV ecosystem. It will also work in collaboration with the IIT Delhi campus of Sonipat to continue its research of the arrangement of EV in the urban sector.

In addition to this, Mr. Sunjay J Kapur, president of ACMA also said “A future-ready workforce for manufacturing electric vehicles is the need of the hour and this collaboration will help the auto component makers in upskilling themselves and remaining relevant.”

MG Motors India reports a growth of 145% in EV sales
MG ZS EV 2022 is expected to launch by February 2022
According to the (Original Equipment Manufacturer) OEM, it is trying its best to support and develop the ecosystem for EV. MG Motors has created an alliance with the Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) for similar research with IIT Delhi.
MG Motors stands as a leader of EV sales in India since the launch of its versatile MG ZS EV electric car. From the increase in sales of EVs in India, MG Motors has grown its sales from MG ZS EV sales by 145% at 2,787 units during FY 2021. The growth is remarkable for the Neo-Automobile brand, compared to the previous year’s sales at 1,150 units in 2020.
The current version of MG ZS EV is a battery-electric vehicle with a power 44.5kWh ba with a driving range of 419km. MG motors upgraded the MG ZS EV with a facelift version to be launched in February this year with a larger battery pack of 51 kWh and a driving range of 480 km.
Considering the widespread popularity and love received from EV owners for its earlier version, it can be assumed that this newly launched version will gain the same popularity and will hold a strong position in the market.
