Skoda is launching three new electric cars in India – the Enyaq and Elroq in 2025, and the Epiq in 2026, with advanced features for the Indian market.
Czech carmaker, Skoda is gearing up to make a bold entry into the Indian EV market in 2025 with three amazing new electric cars. These new EVs from the renowned brand will feature cutting-edge technology, long ranges, and sleek designs that cater to different types of EV drivers. This launch includes Enyaq EV and Elroq EV as the two early launches in 2025, while the Skoda Epiq EV is set for launch later next year. Here we mention the new upcoming cars and their prices, launch timelines, key features, and power:
Skoda Enyaq EV
Skoda’s first electric SUV, the Enyaq EV, will hit the Indian market next year in January. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 60-70 lakhs for the top 80x variant with a range of over 500 km on a single charge. Once launched the Enyaq EV will rival the popular Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia EV6, and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
Initially, Skoda will sell the Enyaq electric in India as a fully-built import. Built on the Volkswagen group’s MEB platform, the Enyaq made waves when it was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo this year in Delhi.
Skoda Elroq EV
The Elroq EV falls under Skoda’s first compact electric SUV segment and is set to make a worldwide debut on October 1. The Elroq EV is expected to be priced between Rs. 40-50 lakhs in India. Some of the notable features in the Elroq include a 13-inch infotainment system, a 5-inch digital cockpit, and a head-up display.
The top variant of the Elroq EV comes with an 82 kWh battery and a 286 bhp motor, offering superior power and performance. It’s expected to rival some of the currently available popular electric cars such as the MG ZS EV and Tata Nexon EV Max. It is also anticipated that Skoda will add the iconic LED Matrix headlights in the upcoming Elroq.
Skoda Epiq EV
Last but not least, Skoda’s entry-level electric car, Epiq EV, will debut globally in 2025 and is expected to arrive in India by 2026. It is the most affordable model from Skoda’s upcoming electric lineup with a starting price of Rs. 25-30 lakhs. It is a great option for budget-conscious buyers looking to go electric. The Epiq EV is built on the MEB platform for front-wheel-drive EVs. After its launch, the Epiq will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX. Skoda is also planning to roll out a low-cost version of the Epiq specifically for Indian markets. The Epiq EV measures 4.1 meters in length and was shown off as a concept earlier this year globally.
Skoda’s entry into the Indian EV market marks a major step forward, catering to a variety of EV-buying customers. The Enyaq and Elroq will be the first two cars to hit the Indian streets, while the more budget-friendly model Epiq EV will arrive a year later.
