MG Motors is expected to launch the new version of MG ZS EV in the month of February, which was first seen testing near the manufacturer’s production plant in Halol, Gujarat.
The new version of the MG ZS EV is expected to have an updated design, a larger battery capacity of 51 kWh to replace the earlier 44.5 kWh battery, and some borrowed features of MG Astors. As of now, nothing is revealed about the price of the MG ZS EV, but the vehicle is expected to be launched in an economical segment during the first week of February 2022.

The previous version of the MG ZS EV with a battery capacity of 44.5 kWh and 350 km range, is now upgraded with a battery capacity of 51 kWh and is expected to offer a sweet driving range of 480 km per full charge. The updated version of MG ZS EV promised to provide two large battery capacity options – 51kWh and 72 kWh.
The major market driving factor for MG ZS EV is expected to be the 480 km of range, which is by far the longest provided by any other electric car in India.

MG ZS EV facelift 2022 features:
The upgraded MG ZS EV seems to have a design similar to the all-new MG Astor from the company, but with different alloy wheels and front grills. The three-phase motor deliverers a maximum power of 140 bhp and 350 Nm torque.
MG ZS EV will have some exterior and interior changes, the interior changes will remain limited except for some color and trim differences but the exterior changes will be more likely to be borrowed from the all-new Astor. The MG ZS EV facelift 2022, will get slimmer headlamps an integrated LED daytime running lamp, and also a contrasting front and rear bumper.
However, there will be some changes that will make both the versions ICE and EV look different from each other.
MG ZS EV is expected to have a price range of 21.49 lakh to 25.19 lakh.
Considering the rise in sales of MG ZS EV with a growth of 145% in 2021 at 2,787 units, the newly updated MG ZS EV is expected to receive the same love from EV enthusiasts in India.
