Now, Tata introduced a new 45 kWh battery for the popular Nexon EV model, offering an extended c75 verified range of 489 km on a single charge. The Nexon EV has been a major player in India’s electric car market with market leader models along with its other siblings like the Nexon EV, Tiago EV, and the recently introduced Tata Punch EV. It gained popularity because of its balance between price and features. Now, Tata has added a larger battery option, pushing its success further.
Nexon EV Variants with the 45 kWh Battery
This launch marks the introduction of several New Nexon EV variants with an upgraded 45 kWh battery, with higher energy density but keeping the same size as the older model. Tata offers the 45 kWh battery in several Nexon EV variants which include:

This launch includes an additional variant with heavy cosmetic upgrades – a Red Dark Edition in the Empowered+ trim. This is the plus trim but with red upholstery and linings around the car.

45 kWh Nexon EV: Key Features
The new 45kWh battery variant from Tata Motors comes with some strong new features. The new panoramic sunroof adds luxury and extra lights to the cabin. The new 12.3-inch touchscreen now offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for easy access. A 360-degree camera helps with parking and safety. Ventilated front seats increase comfort during long drives. The Nexon EV upgraded variant also includes 6 airbags, electronic stability control, and tyre pressure monitoring for better safety.
Charging and Performance
Similar to its 40 KWh battery variant, the upgraded variant gets a fast charging option too. It charges from 10% to 80% in just 48 minutes using a DC EV charger. Performance wise the new variant produces 145 hp and 215 Nm of torque for smooth, strong driving. The quick charging and added range make the Nexon EV more practical and convenient to own.
