Hero Electric leads the electric two-wheeler segment India: Highest selling EV company

The latest JFK Research findings showed that the world’s no. 1 two-wheeler manufacturing company is now the country’s top-selling two-wheeler EV company “Hero Electric” with over 65000 sales in 2021.

After selling four lakh EVs so far despite the Covid-19 pandemic, and acquiring a market share of a respectful 36% of India’s EV market, the latest findings of JFK research stated that Hero Electric is at the top in terms of preference of the Indian EV buyers.

The company launched a campaign “India’s No. 1 EV Company” to celebrate this auspicious moment.

Talking about the achievement, the Managing Director of Hero Electric Naveen Munjal said “We are delighted and thank everyone for their support in making Hero, India’s no.1 electric two-wheeler brand.”

“Consumers are becoming more aware to make greener choices that motivate us further to drive the mobility shift. There is an increased demand for EVs over the last few years that has helped us to stay India’s largest EV brand. With our varied product offerings and support from the Government, we are leading the change to transform the automotive two-wheeler market and stand at the forefront of this dynamic sector.” said Naveen Munjal.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, it is seen that the company has still managed to sell over 65000 unit electric scooters since January 2021, and hero electric leads the EV segment in India.

With a roadmap to add over 20,000 EV charging stations across India, the company currently has about 2000 EV charging stations. This shows the company’s eagerness to build a better charging infrastructure.
