The new images of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 highlight its duo-tone design and a powerful 648cc engine.
Royal Enfield is set to introduce the much-awaited 648cc variant of the “most popular” classic 350 bike. It is evident from the spy shots that the upcoming upgraded variant will get lots of cosmetic and engine changes. The Classic 650 combines the timeless charm of the Classic 350 with the power and performance of a bigger engine. Here we explore what is new in the Classic 650 as seen from the images surfaced online:
Design: Duo-tone color
The new upgraded Royal Enfield Classic 650 takes its design cues from the currently available Classic 350. Its retro look includes a circular headlamp, wide handlebars, and a curvy fuel tank. The Fuel tank has some bobber bike feels, more like a cruise bike. Meanwhile, from the images, we noticed a new maroon and cream dual-tone color scheme adding to its vintage charm.

Engine and Performance
We see many changes in the upgraded Enfield Classic’s engine. This time it gets a 648cc parallel-twin engine, making 47 PS and 52.3 Nm of torque. This engine is similar to what buyers are getting in the Interceptor and Continental GT. These high-end Royal Enfield bikes are known for their smooth gear shifts and strong low-end torque. A 6-speed gearbox, paired with the Royal Enfield signature exhaust note, completes the setup in the new 650 variant.
Frame and Suspension
Speaking of its frame and chassis, the classic 650 is built on a tubular steel frame that adds stability to the bike. The braking system includes a 320 mm front disc and a 300 mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS. The suspension is the same telescopic front forks and preload-adjustable twin shocks at the rear.

Features and Pricing
Once launched, the Classic 650 is expected to be priced at Rs. 3.5 lakhs, which makes it a much more affordable choice in Royal Enfied’s 650cc bike lineup. Premium add-ons, like USD forks or the Tripper navigation pod, might come through Royal Enfield’s MIY customization feature.
The Classic 650 is set to boost Royal Enfield’s presence in the 650cc heavy engine segment. It blends RF’s classic design with modern performance, making it an upcoming top pick for 2024.
